Annual Report & Guidelines for Line-of-Duty Deaths
For millennium year 2000, The American Police Hall of Fame and it's supporting
organizations published an annual report honoring every law enforcement officer killed in the prior calendar year. Along with the officer's photo and short narrative
of the events surrounding his or her tragic demise, the Report gives the opportunity for every police department and sheriff's agency to get a detailed look
at the programs and services provided to survivor families, as well as families who have an officer who has been disabled or paralyzed in the line of duty. These
publications were designed by Peter Connolly, Production Manger at the APHF. The book describes the guidelines for departments to use if an officer is killed
while on duty. This section took months of work and was spearheaded by staff member Mrs. Mayra Bryan. All APHF publications, including the annual report are edited my Jim Gordon who has been with the organization for twenty-five years. Copies may be purchased for $5 at our gift shop.
