• Keep your Christmas tree watered to avoid it drying out and becoming a fire hazard.
• If you put packages into the trunk of your car to return shopping, move your car to a different parking spot to make thieves think you left.
• Avoid shopping alone. A criminal will be less likely to rob two or more people.
• Don't display large amounts of cash in public places.
• Let someone know where you will be shopping and when you will return.
• Make sure not to overload your electrical outlets with too many Christmas decorations
•Unplug your Christmas tree before leaving the house.
• Always have your keys ready by the time you get to your car if you have a lot of packages.
