WE ARE:
1. An educational 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, tax exempt, association of command law enforcement officers within the United States, its territories and military forces.
2. A spokesman for the American law enforcement professional representing the interests of 60,000 eligible members.
Membership is open to all municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement command officers and to directors of security agencies in the United States.

Membership provides you with a membership card, our bi-monthly publicaion, the Chief of Police, a quarterly publication, the Police Family News and access to our National Awards program that recognizes acts of valor and service by officers as well as citizens. Membership dues also help provide scholarships, summer camp funds and holiday and birthday gifts for the children of severely disabled officers, scholarships for severely disabled officers and K9 grants to under funded police departments.
