NACOP's Member Benefits An Association for Professionals in Law Enforcement
PUBLICATIONS As a member you will be sent our official magazine CHIEF OF POLICE plus training bulletins, all
included with your dues. We also make available special materials. Typically our magazine has more than 600 pages a year! Covering legal issues, legislation, meetings and important digest of happenings.
AWARDS We have established a program of awards for service and valor that spotlight what you and members of your department do favorably. We follow the guidelines of the
late J. Edgar Hoover who said, "if there is going to be any publicity, let it be to honor lawmen."AMERICAN POLICE HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM We support and maintain the nations only memorial to all law
enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Included in this edifice is a museum of police arti-facts, which has been called a "crime prevention center" by visiting school children. Built in 1960 and
open to the public to honor those men and women killed in the line of duty.
IN WASHINGTON, D.C. We
maintain a staff on Capitol Hill to act as liaison whit the Congress, White House and government agencies. We utilize a secretarial service to handle our calls and mail. We pass these savings on in more
important services back to you. We have testified on such important matters as firearms; line of duty death benefits & diplomatic immunity. WHO MAY ENROLL Any individual who holds command rank as a
supervisor in a local, county, state, federal or security agency may apply and be accepted. If you are an individual who is in a supervisory capacity you are eligible. USE THIS APPLICATION Use this application to enroll as a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police. We are very proud of the quality of our members. In turn we receive
letters from members which state in glowing terms their satisfaction with the high professional standards, goal and purposes to which we stand.DUES Annual dues are set at $50 for 12 full month, Payable at
the time you apply for membership. CERTIFICATION We have a program that recognizes individual members who have qualified for professional certification in law enforcement science based on standards set by your
