THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE AMERICAN POLICE HALL OF FAME AND GUIDELINES FOR LINE OF DUTY DEATH For millennium year 2000, The American Police Hall of Fame and it's supporting organizations published an annual report honoring every law enforcement officer
killed in the prior calendar year. Along with the officer's photo and short narrative of the events surrounding his or her tragic demise, the Report gives the
opportunity for every police department and sheriff's agency to get a detailed look at the programs and services provided to survivor families, as well as families who
have an officer who has been disabled or paralyzed in the line of duty. Graphics and photo illustrations by world-noted production designer Peter Connolly make
excellent use of photos as well as computer imagery. The book describes the guidelines for departments to use if an officer is killed while on duty. This section
took months of work and was spearheaded by staff member Mrs. Mayra Bryan. All APHF publications, including the annual repo
rt are edited my Jim Gordon who has been with the organization for twenty-five years. |
